Rock of Love: Jes Didn’t Fall in Love With Bret

While contestant Jes Rickleff distinguished herself as the winner of the VH1 reality television series Rock of Love, beating out the other girls and getting herself selected by rock star Bret Michaels, she eventually came to the conclusion that she wasn’t actually in love with him after all. During an interview with The Sun-Times News Group, Jes stated that she didn’t think it was possible at all to truly fall in love with someone after spending just five weeks with him, especially on a convoluted television setting. Not even if he’s a front man for a musical band like Poison, it would seem.

A native of Naperville, Illinois and a licensed cosmetologist, Rickleff is now presently dating a 23-year-old man who resides in Chicago. She further explained about how she thought Michaels was a decent guy, but the experience was basically about meeting someone in just the space of two weeks and thinking about them, but not going any deeper than that. She also bluntly said that after the rock star had made out with 20 other women in the house and would still constantly be around other women, she found such behavior to be unattractive. Hints of Rickleff’s true feelings first emerged during the reunion show for Rock of Love, where she chastised Michaels and told him he should have picked her closest competitor Heather instead.

Rickleff has likewise criticized the editing of the show which cast Heather in a bad light, and declared that she has no ill feelings towards her or any of the other contestants who participated in the VH1 series. After Rock of Love, Rickleff has continued to move on rapidly with the rest of her life, and is presently occupied with a clothing brand named Chi, which she is working to expand alongside her boyfriend.
